OnePlus 5 mobile phone has been officially unveiled and this is by far the latest and priciest self-styled device meant to overtake other flagships.
According to the company, they decided to listen to their customers for them to step up their game against other big names like iPhone and Samsung. They equipped OnePlus 5 with 8GB RAM, a market-leading setup of camera, and a USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Design
There is no doubt that the OnePlus 5 is a good-looking high-end device although it doesn’t really boast of complete originality. With the visible antenna bands and matte black unibody chassis made from aluminum, OnePlus isn’t trying to be subtle regarding the fact that their newest device is almost a carbon copy of iPhone 7 Plus. But, it also cannot be denied that this OnePlus smartphone feels and looks well-built much more than other smartphones that belong to the same price range.
The latest flagship from OnePlus is also smaller compared to iPhone 7 Plus even though both devices have an identically-sized display of 5.5 inches. At 154x74x7.3mm, you can reach every corner of the display and the subtle curves of the handset also means that the OnePlus 5 mobile phone can sit and fit comfortably in your hand. Some may not be big fans of the chunky bezels below and above the display that may feel and look a bit dated unlike other devices.
Somewhere on the OnePlus 5, you will also find the physical home button below the display. This comes with a baked-in zippy fingerprint scanner. There are also 5 machined holes for the phone’s loudspeaker, a 3.5mm headphone hack, and a Dash Charge-capable USB-C port.

Display
OnePlus 5 mobile phone features a full HD display of 5.5 inches made from AMOLED, which is similar to that found on the OnePlus 3T launched prior to it.
Although some users are disappointed that the company didn’t go for a QHD resolution, particularly considering the more expensive price tag of the handset now, there are a few complaints to what the screen can do. Since AMOLED was used, it means that blacks tend to be inky while colors are truly saturated and vibrant in default calibration.
You can also change the display of OnePlus 5 to show DCI-P3 or sRGB color standards, with the former being the larger color gamut that can be found on both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that provides a less saturated and more natural appearance.
Some of those early users of OnePlus 5 mobile phone were quick to raise their complaints about problems with the display of the handset, including poor collaboration and jelly scrolling. However, some might not experience the same problems so they are generally satisfied with their use of the device.
At the end of the day, it is easy to see that OnePlus 5 mobile phone has all the bells and whistles that make it a strong rival to other flagships out there.
